Hi my name is Scott Minkler. I am the Owner and CEO of SFC Surf School, LLC.

As a qualified and legal surf instructor, I am also a certified Life Guard with the state of Hawaii. I am a State certified business with a GE tax license and a fully permitted and insured Surf School. There is a huge difference between permitted and legal surf lessons and the Illegal surf instructors here on island.

My staff and I are all certified life gaurds and professional waterman. We are all avid surfers in our spare time!

Yes we do surf everyday on our own or together when we are not getting paid!

AS THE OWNER of the Company :

I carry the highest certifications in the company. I am: ….. Lifeguard certified in blood Bourne pathogens, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, First Aid, I am also a previous EMT, certified rescue diver, deep water rescue and Waterfront Skills. I was a ship captain and vessel owner for 10 years. I also snow Ski and snow boarded as a pioneer in extreme skiing and back country mountaineering.

As a professional surfer, waterman and owner of this school, I have the privilege of teaching people how to surf.

I have surfed over 44 years throughout the world. There is nothing like the feeling of surfing and the healing the water gives you. Sharing the life, love, and passion of surfing with others is truly a gift!!!
